Welcome to the website of Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC)! Whether you are a regular business partner keen to update yourself on the latest trends in the Islamic economy landscape or visiting our website for the first time, we hope that it will enlighten you about the Centre’s role in shaping Dubai as the global capital of the Islamic Economy.
DIEDC is a Government of Dubai entity that has been mandated to implement the “Dubai: Capital of Islamic Economy” strategy and establish Dubai as the global capital of Islamic economy. As is the case with all lofty ambitions, this one too cannot be achieved by any single organisation. Hence, we work closely in collaboration with our local and international stakeholders to achieve a common goal.
The Islamic economy is an organic and living ecosystem that in line with ethical Islamic principles, calls for the equitable distribution of risks and returns. The principles and values of this ecosystem impact the whole supply chain. This explains our keenness to engage with multiple parties across industries and markets. Every organisation in the supply chain is impacted, and therefore, every organisation has a role to play.
Given the incredible scope and scale of our efforts at the Centre, we count on our partners – stakeholders of the Islamic economy – to assist us in our efforts to spread this vibrant economic system worldwide.
If you are a locally-based industry professional and wish to collaborate with us on an initiative, or an entity from abroad that is keen to leverage the diverse opportunities the Islamic economy offers, please get in touch with us through filling in the ‘contact us’ form and a team member will revert shortly with an answer to your query.
Thank you for stopping by and for your interest in DIEDC and the Islamic economy. We look forward to working with you.
Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar
